How do we cultivate a thankful heart when life doesn’t go the way we hoped?
Comparison, disappointment, and everyday frustrations can make gratitude difficult. Yet Scripture invites us to give thanks in every circumstance, grounding our gratitude in God’s goodness and steadfast love.
As part of Marriage Weekend at Rock Harbor, we welcome special guest speakers Paul and Virginia Friesen from Home Improvement Ministries. In A Heart of Thankfulness, they explore how gratitude shapes our faith, strengthens our relationships, and helps us recognize God’s faithfulness.
Together, we’ll consider:
• The importance of thankfulness.
• The object and reason for our thanks.
• The challenges to thankfulness.
• The benefits of a thankful heart.
Through Scripture, we’ll be encouraged to turn our eyes toward Jesus, encourage one another, and discover the joy and purpose of a life marked by gratitude.
The Good News for us today is that God’s goodness and steadfast love give us reason to rejoice and give thanks in every circumstance.
